The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien

Enter the magical world of Middle-Earth. Its inhabitants range from vicious dragons to powerful wizards. Adventure lurks in every corner. But all seems peaceful in the cozy hobbit-hole of Bilbo Baggins. Hobbits are tiny humanlike creatures that live in a sleepy country called the Shire. Bilbo Baggins prefers peace and quiet over adventure, so he isn't exactly pleased when a wizard named Gandalf offers a quest to him. But little does he know that he will be thrust headfirst into the most dangerous adventure that he will ever have.

I loved this book because I was able to understand the character, and the story kept me hooked the whole way through. There were lots of thrills and I stayed on the edge of my seat the whole time!

Joseph,

I too loved The Hobbit. If you enjoyed this book, you will also enjoy the Lord of the Rings trilogy. I also believe you would like the Redwall series. Both series are great fantasies that take you on a terrific adventure with wonderful characters.

The blog site looks fantastic. I am very impressed and pleased that you are sharing literature recommendations!

I will be checking back often!
